Synova Life Sciences

Building the Infrastructure for Regenerative Medicine

Synova Life Sciences is building a faster, safer, and more scalable way to harvest stem cells — addressing a critical bottleneck at the beginning of the Regenerative Medicine value chain.

Its WAVE Adipose Processing System can process adipose tissue approximately 30X faster than traditional methods while delivering up to 2X greater cell yield, using a closed, sterile, enzyme-free system designed for real clinical workflows.

With FDA clearance secured, its first $1.5M paid contract signed, and $25M+ in LOIs, Synova is beginning the transition from promising medical technology into a commercial business.

The Problem

Stem Cells hold enormous promise. Harvesting them remains a bottleneck.

Regenerative Medicine is expanding across Orthopedics, Aesthetics, Pain Management, Sports Medicine, Hair Restoration, Tissue Repair, and other applications.

Many of these procedures depend on the same basic input: High-quality Stem Cells.

Adipose tissue — ordinary body fat — is one of the richest and most accessible sources of these cells. But extracting usable cells from fat has historically been more difficult than it should be.

Traditional approaches can rely on enzyme-based processing that is slow, operationally complex, difficult to standardize, and poorly suited to high-volume clinical environments.

That creates a bottleneck at the very beginning of the Regenerative Medicine value chain. If Regenerative Medicine is going to scale, the infrastructure for harvesting cells needs to scale with it.

The Solution

Synova built a dramatically faster way to harvest Stem Cells.

The Synova WAVE Adipose Processing System uses proprietary mechanical impulse-wave technology to separate Stem Cells from adipose tissue inside a closed, sterile system.

Rather than relying on biochemical digestion, Synova mechanically processes the tissue — creating a workflow designed to be faster, cleaner, more consistent, and easier to integrate into clinical environments.

01

30X Faster

Approximately 30X faster processing than traditional methods.

02

Up to 2X Greater Yield

Produces up to twice the usable cell yield.

03

Enzyme-Free

Mechanical processing eliminates the need for traditional enzyme digestion.

04

Closed + Sterile

Designed as a contained system for real-world clinical use.

Regenerative Procedure

In effect, Synova is transforming Stem Cell harvesting from a cumbersome processing workflow into a standardized, device-enabled procedure.

Why Invest

Synova could become infrastructure for Regenerative Medicine.

It would be easy to look at Synova as simply a company selling a better medical device. We think that misses the larger opportunity. Synova operates at the input layer of Regenerative Medicine.

Orthopedics, Aesthetics, Sports Medicine, Pain Management, Hair Restoration, Tissue Repair, and other applications may look very different downstream — but many begin with the same fundamental requirement:

Obtaining high-quality cells quickly, safely, consistently, and at clinical scale. That means Synova does not necessarily need to predict which individual regenerative application becomes the largest.

If the broader category grows, demand for better harvesting infrastructure can grow with it. FDA cleared. First $1.5M contract signed. Commercialization has begun. Synova has moved beyond technical development.

Synova is also onboarding into the procurement system of Northwell Health, potentially opening access to its 23-hospital network, while developing relationships across clinical, institutional, and distribution channels.

The significance of these milestones is straightforward:

Customers are beginning to pay. For a medical device company moving out of development and into commercialization, that transition matters enormously. A business model designed to compound with adoption

Synova’s economics extend beyond selling the WAVE system itself. Each procedure requires a single-use disposable cartridge.

That Creates a Classic Razor-and-Blade Model

Each new clinic therefore represents more than a one-time equipment sale. It potentially adds another recurring stream of consumables demand to Synova’s installed base.

That makes successful adoption increasingly valuable as the network expands. Broad exposure to the growth of Regenerative Medicine

That creates a classic razor-and-blade model:

01

More devices installed

02

More procedures performed

03

More cartridges consumed

04

More recurring revenue

Orbit Fab has also achieved something highly unusual in aerospace:

Orthopedics • Sports Medicine • Aesthetics • Pain Management • Hair Restoration • Tissue Repair • Reconstructive Medicine • Other Regenerative Applications

This is an important distinction. Synova is not betting everything on one drug, one indication, or one therapeutic endpoint. It is building the processing infrastructure that could support many applications at once.

If Orthopedics grows, Synova can participate. If Aesthetics grows, Synova can participate.

If entirely new regenerative applications emerge, the need to efficiently harvest cells remains. That is why the company has the potential to become much more than a single-product medical device business.
